Online classes · the UAE and the Gulf
Online classical dance classes for families in the UAE and the Gulf
Learn Bharatanatyam, Mohiniyattam or Kuchipudi live from Kerala, at a time that works in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Muscat, Doha, Bahrain, Kuwait and Riyadh. Many of our online students are Malayali families in the Gulf.
How it works from here
Classes are live over video, one hour each, four times a month. Arunima Raj teaches every class herself and corrects each student on screen as they dance. Nothing is pre-recorded.
Batches are small. Classes run in English or Malayalam, whichever your family prefers, and a recording of the class is sent on request so your child can practise during the week.
Finding a time that works
The Gulf is only one and a half to two and a half hours behind Kerala, so after-school evening classes work well on both sides.
Kerala does not change its clocks, so the gap moves by an hour when yours change. The exact timing is agreed with you on WhatsApp.
| Where you are | Kerala is ahead by | 6:00 PM is, in Kerala |
|---|---|---|
| UAE (Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah), Oman | 1 h 30 min | 7:30 PM |
| Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia | 2 h 30 min | 8:30 PM |
